Autoplay Repair 2.2.2

If you are dealing with invalid entries left after uninstalling an application, Autoplay Repair can help you solve the problem and remove corrupted entries from Windows XP’s autoplay.

It is also able to remove invalid or corrupted entries from the Windows registry.

Invalid autoplay entries can be easily recognized: the autoplay selection dialog appears each time you insert a CD or DVD in the drive. Autoplay Repair can remove invalid entries, modify existing ones or create new entries and it can generally clean Windows XP’s autoplay sections.

A short list of Autoplay Repair features includes: controlling the main autorun sections in the Registry (adding, editing or deleting entries); disabling or enabling Autoplay for each drive on your computer; creating, modifying or removing Autoplay Handler entries from the Windows Registry and creating backups of Autoplay and Autorun sections in order to restore deleted or edited Registry entries.

Furthermore, this utility allows you to create your own Autoplay handlers using dedicated fields to input the action, the icon, the application and the provider.

By using the Autoplay Manager section, you will have access to an easy way of creating, modifying or removing unwanted or corrupt handlers, no matter what kind of contents the entries were designed for (audio CDs, DVDs, blank discs, audio and video files, images, etc).

Autoplay Repair has not been updated for several years, and its last version was improved with features such as the main window location being recognized on start up and a change in the Autoplay Handler dialog, as a part of the application path may end up in the argument field.

Autoplay Repair packs a limited but efficient range of settings for handling corrupted Autoplay entries. Before installing this program to your computer, keep in mind it only works for Windows XP.
